The back window is at a distance of (1.4+0.4) m = 1.8 m from the mirror. Thus, its image is 1.8 m behind the mirror. The driver's eye, mirror and the image of the back window form two similar isosceles triangles. Hence, w/1.8 = 0.2/0.4 where w is the image width of the back window i.e. w = 1.8x0.2/0.4 m
